promote: point at consolidated promote.yml reusable workflow - #6
Merged
Merged
Conversation
promote-dispatch.yml was consolidated into promote.yml in the workflows repo, but the template and its test still referenced the old name; the generated promote.yaml would fail at workflow resolution on first dispatch. Re-point both. Trailer: Signed-off-by: Juan Luis Cano Rodríguez <juan.rodriguez@canonical.com> Assisted-by: OpenRouter:z-ai/glm-5.3-flash pi

What
template/.github/workflows/promote.yaml.j2and the expectation intests/test_template.pyreferencedobs-plugins-snaps/workflows/.github/workflows/promote-dispatch.yml@main, which no longer exists — the dispatch-capable promote reusable workflow was consolidated intopromote.ymlin the workflows repo. Re-pointed both topromote.yml@main.Why it matters
Generated plugin repos'
promote.yamlinherited the stale reference (applied via template), so the first Actions → Promote snap dispatch would fail at workflow resolution — right when stable promotions are due. Blocking the fleet's stable promotion step.Verification

The four plugin repos get the same one-line fix via hand-rolled PRs (propagation PR #5 is still unreviewed); after merge they're consistent and future
copier updateruns keep them aligned.Assisted-by: OpenRouter:z-ai/glm-5.3-flash pi
