Signed Windows installers for Beatform — a mouse-only drum pattern generator VST3 by OK Studio, inspired by Reason's Beat Map and Mutable Instruments Grids. Everything is operable with single left-clicks: an X/Y groove map morphs between real rhythms (house, boom bap, dembow, samba, the Amen break…), four knobs control how much of each drum plays, and the plugin drives an Ableton Drum Rack over MIDI.
- Download
Beatform-Setup-<version>.exefrom the latest release. - Run it. The VST3 installs to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, where Ableton Live and other DAWs find it automatically. The standalone app is an optional component. - In your DAW, rescan plugins if it was running during install.
- Put Beatform on a MIDI track and a Drum Rack on another; set the Drum Rack track's MIDI From to the Beatform track and Monitor: In.
Beatform checks this repository for new releases (at most once a day)
and shows an Update button in the plugin when one is available —
one click downloads the installer, verifies its Authenticode signature
against OK Studio's pinned certificate, and launches it. To disable
checking, set checkForUpdates="0" in
%APPDATA%\Beatform\Beatform.settings.
