Summary

  • Describe Open GPU DB consistently as a database in user-facing prose.
  • Replace the ambiguous “reproducible catalog” tagline with a concrete explanation of deterministic JSON generation.
  • Correct source-layer, runtime-data, CI, and manual deployment details.
  • Document the extended GPU specification fields now present in the database.

Why

The README used “catalog” for the project identity and did not explain what “reproducible” meant. It also implied that every maintained addition had first-party provenance and that npm run deploy built the site, neither of which matches the repository today.

Impact

Documentation only. Existing filenames, schemas, and consumer interfaces are unchanged.

Validation

  • npm test — 26 tests passed
  • npm run check — committed JSON matches the deterministic build
  • git diff --check
