Historical archives could offer Run preview without an entry, recovery suggestions could land in application data, and stale dialog results could affect later actions. Static previews also kept high-frequency process observers running after readiness, and stopped process handles accumulated in service memory.
Reprise 0.8.5 centralizes version actions and deletion effects, rewrites preview/dialog/recovery ownership, stops continuous observation for the trusted static server, releases confirmed-stopped handles, and adds an explicit Stop preview control. Project commands retain child-process tracking; Git source history, original folders and existing user previews remain protected. Skill and bilingual resource-management guidance describe each operation’s actual scope.
Validation: 626 Python/Chromium checks and 134 JavaScript contracts; four fresh wheel/sdist install paths; exact clean Skill manifest and installed macOS window. Ego Lite exercised interactive old-draft preview, stop, synthetic deletion/readback, both languages and 390px layout. A five-second two-static-preview sample went from 36 process-table scans to zero; this does not claim system-wide RAM or performance improvement. Final package proof saved two exact drafts/screenshots and recovered the older draft without modifying the source. Platform matrix status is recorded by the current PR checks.
Fixture isolation disables automatic Git maintenance only in synthetic test setup commands. Source-byte comparisons still cover every .git file, and no user Git setting or product code changes in that follow-up.
