After a system restart, retained preview process records failed boot-identity validation and could be reported as unconfirmed active previews even though their processes had exited. This also made historical record counts easy to misread as memory-consuming processes.
Reprise 0.8.6 recognizes valid retired boot epochs without signalling reused PIDs and preserves their original ownership records. macOS compares kernel seconds/microseconds rather than localized display text; malformed, future, foreign or contradictory identities remain unconfirmed. Runtime responses add explicit alive/exited/unknown process state while retaining conservative legacy safety semantics. Skill guidance and release metadata are updated.
Validation before remote CI: the functional candidate passed 632 Python/Chromium tests and 134 JavaScript contracts. The 0.8.6 version, portable Skill and native-cache preflight passed 24 focused checks. Six lifecycle scenarios cover both boot-ID formats, display changes, identity contradictions, foreign ownership, repeated stop and unknown-state handling. Final platform matrix and fresh distribution installs gate publication. Saved versions, screenshots, logs and historical runtime files are retained; local synchronization will leave the workbench stopped.
