Chatbot: Avatar and Message Alignment #898

Description

@kaylachumley

Background:
DUX + ARH designers plan to use the compact version of the chatbot moving forward on docs, My Red Hat, and Trials. It’ll be the inline-drawer that pushes the other page content to the left. We’re doing this because we’d like to minimize the chat compared to other page content, especially on smaller laptop screens sizes and below.

Request for the PF chatbot:
We’d like an option where the avatars take up less room, in the compact variant, to get even more space for messaging. For inspo, we see stripe, gitbook, and microsoft learn have their messages stretch to the edge of the chatbot’s side padding. They also all rely on color and left vs right floating, to differentiate the user from the AI.
