dsh-edge runs the published DeepSeek Harness Web experience on Cloudflare Workers, so your personal coding agent is available wherever you have a browser. No server to maintain, GitHub repository to connect, or build pipeline to configure.
It keeps the upstream UI, agent loop, model selection, and Web Search, while adding goal tracking, file operations, context compaction, runtime-configurable settings, and persistent multi-workspace management — all on Cloudflare Workers.
Independent community project:
dsh-edgeis maintained by pawaca. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by DeepSeek. DeepSeek Harness is the upstream project.
You need Node.js 22.14 or newer and your own DeepSeek API key:
npx dsh-edge installPress Enter at every prompt to deploy the Worker and open it in your browser, then add your DeepSeek API key when the web app asks (or later in Settings → Models). You can try it without an existing Cloudflare login, or install it permanently in your own Cloudflare account. No source checkout is required.
- Agent capabilities — goal tracking with GoalBar UI, file tools (read, write, edit, read_image), context compaction for long conversations, and automatic session titles.
- Workspaces — multiple persistent workspaces with create, rename, archive, and reorder; a
/workspacefilesystem backed by Durable Object SQLite; and a bash tool with configurable timeouts. - Models — DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (with image input) and V4 Pro through the upstream selector; runtime-configurable settings (model, API key, reasoning effort) without redeployment; Web Search and PNG/JPEG image input.
- Conversations — session fork to branch conversations, queue/steer message editing, persistent history from any browser.
- Deployment — your own Cloudflare Worker, credentials, and data; in-place upgrades without a repository or build pipeline.
| Path | What you need | Best for |

| Keep it | An existing or new Cloudflare account | A long-lived personal deployment |
The installer asks what your agent should be able to do. Each choice includes the ones before it:
- Research and write (Workers Free): search the web, read pages, draft docs, and connect your tools through MCP. Commands run in a lightweight shell (just-bash, a sandboxed shell for file and text work, not Linux) inside the instance.
- + Analyze data and split big jobs (Workers Paid, from $5/month): runs that shell in an isolated Worker and adds
workflow(parallel subagents), plusrun_code(a TypeScript program that calls the other tools) in sessions started in the PTC mode agent preset, which, like upstream, does not offerworkflow. - + Work on code projects (Workers Paid plus container time): adds a real Debian container with git, node, npm, and python3. Each command still starts in the lightweight shell; only a command that needs Linux (or that the agent marks with
linux: true) runs in the container, which starts on demand, sleeps after 10 idle minutes by default (adjustable in Settings), and is billed by Cloudflare while it runs.
All choices share the same UI, conversations, workspace, images, and subagents.
npx dsh-edge upgradeThe installer finds your Worker and upgrades it in place, keeping its capabilities, durable data, and keys unless you choose to change what it can do. Running install again with the same Worker name does the same. See the release notes for version-specific details.
- dsh-edge is designed for one owner; it does not provide registration, multiple users, roles, or tenant routing.
- Your DeepSeek key is stored as a Worker secret when set at deployment, or in Durable Object storage when configured through the runtime Settings UI. The deployment's durable data stays in your Cloudflare account.
- Some upstream capabilities (subprocess, PTY) require Cloudflare Containers and are not yet adapted. MCP over Streamable HTTP is feasible on the free plan but not yet installed. See the compatibility matrix and the wiki for the full status.
dsh-edge wraps exact published DeepSeek Harness packages instead of copying its monorepo. Upstream remains responsible for the Web UI, plugin composition, agent loop, and session protocols; this repository implements the Cloudflare runtime and storage adapters needed to run them at the edge.
For the upstream architecture and plugin APIs, see the DeepSeek Harness repository and reference documentation.

Source checkout is only required for development. The repository toolchain requires Node.js ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0:
git clone https://github.com/pawaca/dsh-edge.git
cd dsh-edge
pnpm install
pnpm --dir apps/dsh-edge/standalone install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm run checkSee the local Edge setup to run the Worker locally.
- Report dsh-edge bugs and installation problems in Issues.
- Report vulnerabilities through the private security process, not a public Issue.
- Follow CONTRIBUTING.md and AGENTS.md when changing the repository.
