Multi-label raster jobs could fail after the first label, while PNG jobs could replace explicitly selected lengths or clip content. Preserve submitted geometry, reject incomplete or oversized input visibly, and simplify cutting to four batch presets with constant-size state: chain-only, chain-and-final, none, and final-only. Healthy batches continue without discarded leaders; ambiguous output requires explicit recovery without replay.

Keep normal CUPS/IPP formats and finishings, move run state into the queue, make USB/model selection deterministic, and use stderr logging. Bounded pinned PAPPL/CUPS corrections cover the demonstrated raster and finishing boundary defects. CI runs the complete build/tests and socket smoke before publication.

Validation:

  • All 11 full-build CTest suites and the runtime IPP/socket smoke pass.
  • An ordinary driverless CUPS queue passes PNG/JPEG, multi-label PDF and PDF copies, custom-width rounding, offline resumption, and default updates.
  • Authorized PT-2730 hardware acceptance passed 21 integrated labels on 12 mm and the eight-label protocol gate on 24 mm, including continuation and uncertain-output recovery. Other widths have software coverage only.
  • Claude review findings were fixed and regression-tested. All 42 OpenSpec tasks are complete, specifications synced, strict validation passed, and the change archived with retained evidence.

CUPS 2.4 PPD custom margins remain conservative across tape widths. Explicit margins are preserved and oversized designs rejected rather than resized. Existing queues with cached none defaults require a normal queue-default update to adopt trim. The printer service was restored after testing; this PR does not perform printer-host deployment.

Use four standard IPP finishing presets with constant-size batch state and preserve healthy tape continuation without wasted leaders. Honor explicit media geometry, reject incomplete input and unsafe output, and publish truthful device and format capabilities.

Apply bounded pinned PAPPL/CUPS corrections, run core/adapter/capture and runtime checks before publication, and retain the completed hardware acceptance and independent review evidence. Sync specifications and archive simplify-print-server.
