Started writing Space Shuttle payload software in FORTRAN. Built crypto for the NSA. Somehow ended up spending 25+ years explaining Exchange to people. Life takes you places.

I've spent the better part of three decades deep in the Microsoft ecosystem β Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure, and the sprawling world of enterprise collaboration. Before that I was a working developer (ranging from Ada compilers to Shuttle payload software to Windows management tools).
Along the way, I've written books, built products, led teams, and helped some of the world's largest organizations move to the cloud.
These days I'm at Keepit, working on data protection solutions for SaaS and multi-cloud environments. I've also been having a blast returning to my developer roots (but with modern tools!) digging into building MCP servers, using local LLMs, and exploring the AI world.
When I'm not on a computer, I'm probably walking my two beagles, working on my airplane, or thinking about the beach.
