Updates rand from 0.9.5 to 0.10.2

Changelog

Sourced from rand's changelog.

[0.10.2] — 2026-07-02

Fixes

  • Fix possible memory safety violation due to deserialization of UniformChar from bad source (#1790)

Changes

  • Document required output order of fn partial_shuffle and apply #[must_use] (#1769)
  • Avoid usage of unsafe in contexts where non-local memory corruption could invalidate contract (#1791)

#1769: rust-random/rand#1769 #1790: rust-random/rand#1790 #1791: rust-random/rand#1791

[0.10.1] — 2026-02-11

This release includes a fix for a soundness bug; see #1763.

Changes

  • Document panic behavior of make_rng and add #[track_caller] (#1761)
  • Deprecate feature log (#1763)

#1761: rust-random/rand#1761 #1763: rust-random/rand#1763

[0.10.0] - 2026-02-08

Changes

  • The dependency on rand_chacha has been replaced with a dependency on chacha20. This changes the implementation behind StdRng, but the output remains the same. There may be some API breakage when using the ChaCha-types directly as these are now the ones in chacha20 instead of rand_chacha (#1642).
  • Rename fns IndexedRandom::choose_multiple -> sample, choose_multiple_array -> sample_array, choose_multiple_weighted -> sample_weighted, struct SliceChooseIter -> IndexedSamples and fns IteratorRandom::choose_multiple -> sample, choose_multiple_fill -> sample_fill (#1632)
  • Use Edition 2024 and MSRV 1.85 (#1653)
  • Let Fill be implemented for element types, not sliceable types (#1652)
  • Fix OsError::raw_os_error on UEFI targets by returning Option<usize> (#1665)
  • Replace fn TryRngCore::read_adapter(..) -> RngReadAdapter with simpler struct RngReader (#1669)
  • Remove fns SeedableRng::from_os_rng, try_from_os_rng (#1674)
  • Remove Clone support for StdRng, ReseedingRng (#1677)
  • Use postcard instead of bincode to test the serde feature (#1693)
  • Avoid excessive allocation in IteratorRandom::sample when amount is much larger than iterator size (#1695)
  • Rename os_rng -> sys_rng, OsRng -> SysRng, OsError -> SysError (#1697)
  • Rename Rng -> RngExt as upstream rand_core has renamed RngCore -> Rng (#1717)

Additions

  • Add fns IndexedRandom::choose_iter, choose_weighted_iter (#1632)
  • Pub export Xoshiro128PlusPlus, Xoshiro256PlusPlus prngs (#1649)
  • Pub export ChaCha8Rng, ChaCha12Rng, ChaCha20Rng behind chacha feature (#1659)
  • Fn rand::make_rng() -> R where R: SeedableRng (#1734)

Removals

  • Removed ReseedingRng (#1722)
  • Removed unused feature "nightly" (#1732)
  • Removed feature small_rng (#1732)

Updates jsonschema from 0.46.10 to 0.53.0

Release notes

Sourced from jsonschema's releases.

[Python] Release 0.53.0

Fixed

  • Draft 4 type: integer matching a float or not depending on its repr; a float is never a draft 4 integer.
  • Draft 4 type: integer accepting Decimal("1E+2").
  • uniqueItems accepting 0 alongside -0.0 in arrays of more than 15 items.

Performance

  • Canonicalizing an allOf of object schemas walks their property maps once instead of looking every key up.
  • properties and required compare short names without memcmp.
  • type: integer, and type sets containing it, are up to 67x faster on float-heavy instances.
  • Draft 4 type: integer is up to 20x faster on float-heavy instances.
  • Raising ValidationError is up to 38% faster.
  • evaluate is up to 30% faster, from rendering each node's locations once.
  • Building a schema resolves each $ref target once instead of per reference site.
  • Building a schema with an $id encodes each absolute location once instead of re-validating it.
  • enum listing strings or integers, with or without null, matches against a set instead of comparing each candidate.

[Ruby] Release 0.53.0

Fixed

  • Draft 4 type: integer matching a Float or not depending on its formatting; a Float is never a draft 4 integer.
  • uniqueItems accepting 0 alongside -0.0 in arrays of more than 15 items.

Performance

  • Canonicalizing an allOf of object schemas walks their property maps once instead of looking every key up.
  • properties and required compare short names without memcmp.
  • Draft 4 type: integer is up to 6x faster on float-heavy instances.
  • evaluate renders each node's locations once instead of rebuilding them.
  • Building a schema resolves each $ref target once instead of per reference site.
  • Building a schema with an $id encodes each absolute location once instead of re-validating it.
  • enum listing strings or integers, with or without null, matches against a set instead of comparing each candidate.

[Rust] Release 0.53.0

Added

  • Location::segments, iterating the segments without collecting them.
  • CanonicalizeOptions::prepare, canonicalizing any number of a document's subschemas by JSON Pointer, with the document indexed once.
  • CLI: the --at POINTER flag of jsonschema canonicalize, canonicalizing only the subschema at that pointer without breaking its references into the rest of the document.
  • CLI: jsonschema canonicalize reads YAML schemas (.yaml/.yml) as well as JSON.
  • canonical::{ArrayView, IntegerView, NumberView, ObjectView, StringView, TypedGroupView}, the payload types of CanonicalView, so consumers can name them in signatures.

Fixed

  • jsonschema-value failing to build with default-features = false.
  • jsonschema-value failing to build for wasm32-unknown-unknown, which needs getrandom's wasm_js backend.
  • Draft 4 type: integer accepting numbers written with an exponent, like 1e2.
  • Draft 4 type: integer answering differently for the same number across representations.

Updates base64 from 0.22.1 to 0.23.1

Changelog

Sourced from base64's changelog.

0.23.1

  • Make the tests build again on non-SIMD architectures

0.23.0

  • Added more consts for preconfigured configs and engines
  • Make DecodeError::InvalidLastSymbol more clear by including the decoded value
  • Added SIMD-accelerated engines behind the default-on simd-unsafe feature: Simd picks the best instruction set at runtime (AVX2 on x86_64, NEON on aarch64) and falls back to the scalar GeneralPurpose engine, while Avx2 and Neon target one instruction set with no runtime detection and work in no_std. The engines support the standard and URL-safe alphabets.
  • Update MSRV to 1.71.0
  • Add support for custom padding symbols

Updates self_update from 0.41.0 to 0.43.1

Changelog

Sourced from self_update's changelog.

[0.43.1]

Added

Changed

  • Improve assert_for logic to fallback to identifier-only search if target/os-arch search fails
  • Fix update logic to respect bin_install_path when not equal to the current exe. Logic was previously modified to use the self_replace crate, but that change assumed the installation was always replacing the current exe.

Removed

[0.43.0]

Added

  • Docs: add documentation for [self_update::errors::Error]

Changed

  • Improve assert_for logic to prioritize searching by asset name and identifier before looking for assets by OS/arch

Removed

[0.42.0]

Added

  • Improved release search/lookup capability to support filtering assets by identifier
  • Improved version specifications to support prerelease tags and parallel supported versions

Changed

  • Update reqwest features to allow http2 negotiation
  • Update quick-xml (0.37) and zipsign (0.1)
  • Specify per_page=100 when fetching github releases

Repair release for real-world flat-era documents.toml files.

Fixed

  • Registration repairs duplicate-alias pollution. Flat-era configs can hold several [[root]] blocks sharing one alias (and hundreds of dead test roots). register_document_root now collapses duplicate aliases to the first occurrence (DocumentsConfig::dedupe) before the alias-keyed upsert (DocumentsConfig::upsert also drops every non-identical same-alias entry), so a polluted config becomes valid and reparable through the registration boundary instead of failing duplicate root alias validation forever.

[0.12.0] — 2026-08-30

Unified Oxi home (ARCHITECTURE.md v2.15, ADR-015): one discoverable root with strict per-app ownership, no shared config, and a real migration path.

Added

  • Document-root registration boundary — other apps declare a vault root through Brain::register_document_root (idempotent upsert keyed by alias: added / replaced / unchanged), the native JSON-RPC method register_document_root, and BrainClient::register_document_root. documents.toml is now written only by oxibrain, atomically (temp + rename).
  • oxibrain admin migrate [--dry-run] — journaled, resumable, copy-verify migration of ~/.oxi/models into ~/.oxi/brain/models. Preflight reports source/destination/bytes/conflicts; a conflicting old/new pair aborts with both paths and touches nothing; the legacy source is always retained as a backup. admin doctor prints the active OXI_HOME, store dir, legacy state, and journal status.

Changed

  • Legacy ~/.oxi/models is read read-only during the compatibility window when ~/.oxi/brain/models is absent; the canonical location wins once populated.
  • Stale references removed: no doc or code claims a shared ~/.oxi/config.toml or a global default space; the canonical layout is spaces/<space>/vault + app-private subtrees (oxibrain/, oxios/, oxicode/, oximemo/).

[0.11.0] — 2026-08-29

Storage footprint (ADR-014, ARCHITECTURE.md v2.14): the ranking half no longer multiplies content ~7×. Measured on a real instance: 7.7 MB →

  • Added Filter::MinEntropy for encoding, which selects the filter that minimizes the Shannon entropy of the filtered row. (#647)
  • Made ScaledFloat::SCALING constant public. (#650)
  • Support skipping chunks without loading them into memory. (#630)
  • Allow full unfiltering for partial data, enabling progressive decoding use cases. (#664)

Changes

  • Improved Paeth unfilter auto-vectorization by changing how loop state is maintained. (#635)
  • Added portable_simd Paeth unfiltering for 3bpp and 4bpp images on nightly. (#632, #633)
  • Add early exit for adaptive filter selection when a perfect filter is found. (#646)
  • Ignore duplicate acTL chunks instead of producing errors. (#651)
  • Require IDAT chunk(s) before fdAT chunks, as mandated by PNG specification. (#653)
  • Enforce acTL frame counts to be valid PNG 4-byte integers (capped at 2^31-1). (#673)

Fixes

  • Fixed and improved intra-doc links in documentation comments. (#665)
  • Fixed nightly portable_simd build. (#675)
