Handthrottle issue

Hi,
i play with moglis VehicleControlAddon VCA. There is an option for HandRPM increase or decrease with keyboard, but it doesn´t work with moreREalistic mod. Is there any way to make it work with moreRealistic or incorporate it in moreRealistic? II would second this - I use Gearbox addon mod for the manual rpm - but it doesnt appear to give the exact behaviour as expected with implements. Also PTO RPM speed seems low with just MR mod and for example an MF 3670.

1. do you have any "use case" in game where a hand throttle is useful ? (I play with a keyboard and some tractors are not CVT ones (MT655, Case IH Farmall) => but I don't see where it would be useful to get a "hand trottle" for them.
   Working in fields = "speed limiter"
   On road = full throttle (release the key or brake when too much speed)
   Approaching maneuvers = tapping the key instead on keeping it depressed (or manual gear selection if not playing in autogear)

2. If you can get the "expected" behavior by using a controller (difficult to keep the same "accPedal percent" => or maybe on some joystick controller there is a "thruster" level), it would mean the best way would be to made a simple mod that only force the accelerator to whatever you want (no need to have a mod that mess up with base game transmission code like MR engine does)

I guess this is "normal" => mod confilct since both "MR Engine" and "Gearbox addon" are overriding base game lua for "transmission"

Also PTO RPM speed seems low with just MR mod and for example an MF 3670.
Do you have any data on this matter ? Can you try with a MR tractor instead of the "MF 3670" ? (MT635, Farmall, Deutz agrostar) so that I could reproduce the problem ?

MR engine logic = don't keep the rpm high when at standstill (except for some tools like a woodcrusher)
The rpm will increase to match the wanted pto rpm when working.
This prevent "brutal" taking off when maneuvering with a pto tool activated.

Don't forget that there is absolutely no clucth management in the inner game physics engine.
The full engine torque is delivered to the transmission (0% or 100%, there is no "in-between")

speed limiter = do you mean ingame "tempomat" function? it is ugly and non functional, sorry I hate it and need another mod for propper work (touching the throttle etc)... isn't it?

MR engine logic (don't keep rpm high) is not logic, because it is not MR :-D = if implement is turned on, IDK if there is any logic / function for temporary down rpm at headland for example in modern tractors. but, back to my case, I'm sure that the Zetor doesn't have similar feature... CVT / Vario tractors have different behavior, I know, there is another "logic" about torque for driving wheels, independent on PTO tool output. But afaik it also "keep" pto running if tool is lifted up AND turn on.

Please bring hand throttle back to us :-) thx

Well, this is not very helpful => this is exactely what I get using the base game "throttle". If playing with manual gear selection => select the wanted gear, set the "tempomat" to max speed and activate it. (or just keep the accelerator key depressed)
Or maybe I miss something ? (just a matter of selecting the right gear to get the "roaring" when playing with manual gear selection, of course)

ugly ? what do you mean by that, this is not something "visible". The only thing that "upset" me while working a field = when you want a smaller speed on headland than when working the field => we need 2 differents speeds like we had in FS09,11,13

But, IRL, if I drive a tractor with a PTO tool, I don't keep the engine at full throttle when turning on headland or when the tractor is at standstill, this would be "stupid". (I set the handthrottle back once I reach the headland and go on with the foot pedal. Even with a cultivator or any implement without PTO)
And so, since there is no handthrottle in the game, I don't see the point in keeping the engine rev high when doing nothing, like IRL.

Well, on your zetor, IRL, there is no feature that "auto accelerate" when you engage your PTO. When you release the accelerator pedal, the engine rev down, when you depress the accelerator pedal, the engine rev up. This is the same with the handthrottle, nothing to do with the PTO. And so, why in the game should we have something that fully rev the engine as soon as we engaged the PTO ?

What you want = a manual PTO mode where you are the one who manage the engine rpm so that the engine do not stall when the PTO is engaged.
But this is far more complex than what you think.
Example : if you are the one who choose the engine rpm and so the PTO rpm => what should we get in game when you are at "low" pto rpm with a disc mower ? a baler ? a power harrow ? a sprayer ?
A lot of thing to manage to get something "realistic" (otherwise, you could just cheat and work the ground at low engine rpm to consume less fuel for example, or consume less pto power and get more speed)

All in all, everyone has its own way of driving IRL (tractors, cars, trucks, motorbikes...)
And you are right, technically, there is nothing preventing you from keeping the handthrottle "wide open" all the time.

I can't : I don't have the right to modify another person own mod.
You can modify it for your own usage, of course, but it should not be released.

Problem is = this is not just a matter of "MR" taking into account "VCA". This is rather a problem of "VCA" taking into account "MR".
That's the price we pay when using a mod like MR that override a bunch of the game files (lua, not lower code game engine which we don't have access).
And this problem exists since MR11 (somehow "logical", no way to bypass that fact)

Hey Dural, when I was making the mod for that HUD of mine the one that shows power, torque, wheel slip, and stuff like that I added a hand throttle feature. It doesn't conflict with the MR mod at all. Basically, if I turn on the PTO, MR takes priority. I can't set the hand throttle to, say, 1200 RPM if the MR engine wants to keep it at 2000 RPM. However, I can set the hand throttle above 2000 RPM. It’s actually pretty cleverly designed. The whole thing was written using AI, and it doesn't clash with the MR engine because the AI created the script specifically with MR in mind (it analyzed all the scripts line by line to make this hand throttle work).

I have to admit, I don't use it that often, so I agree it’s not a necessary feature for the MR mod itself. But personally, I couldn't play without my HUD script anymore. I don't know, I just like seeing how much power I have left, what the tire slip is, etc., all in real-time. But anyone can write this kind of add-on for themselves, especially nowadays if someone really feels the need to use it
