Unload fillPlane effect edit

Hi, first of all thanks for everyhting to make the game much better.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but considering your knowledge and motive to make the game more realistic, I've decided to write here. I find the unloading effect of grain trailers in FS a bit off and after coming across this mod, I was wondering if it is possible to copy the effect of this salt spreader and apply it to the trailers for unloading effect?

Hi, I don't think this is so "easy" as to "copy" from this mod and apply to all vehicle in FS25.
Each vehicle is unique in this matter (the discharge node being rotated on the go).
Most of the time, for a trailer, there is a part in the i3d file, then another part in the animation of the xml and then the discharge effect by itself.
I agree with you : the visual experience of "not solid" material (wheat, seeds, beets etc etc) in the game is "horrible". But this matter is a science by its own => they need a software engineer specialized in this matter to get something looking right in the game. And then, this is difficult not to consume a lot of cpu/gpu to achieve what we want I suppose.

Hi quadural, thanks for the reply. Fair enough, I didn't think it would be that complicated, though.
You know there was a farming game called Pure Farming released back in 2018, all things aside I remember getting impressed by the grain animation. you can see the video below starting at 24:45.

Obviously it shouldn't have been too difficult for Giants to create something like this.
Anyways, I tried editing the filltypes directly and adding ParticleEffect entry to some grain types, copied from "potato" section and scaled down on GE (I'm a rookie at such things), the results strangely differ from one type to another. Even though it looks better than the vanilla in my opinion, I thought it could be fine tuned by further editing. That's why I've brought this up.

well, this is far from being "realistic" too. IRL = you can't see through the flow of wheat when unloading a trailer. And you can see "waves" of wheat going down the trailer.

It could be the video but I remember while playing it felt really close to the real life, and yet in my opinion still much better than what we currently have. The main problem is that it feels like a solid belt not a natural flow of grains.

I can confirm this is a "solid" flow. And this is the case too for combine harvester unloading (really not realistic). Especially considering the "flow" is not guided toward the gravity of earth ! (best example = auger wagon with moving auger, or the convey all trailer in lowered position => you can try in vanilla game without MR = "disgusting").
And this is not limited to "unloading".
What I would expect =

1. being able to "overfill" the trailer. Actually, the "plane" is quite good, but once we got the max volume, we can't unload anymore. which means we can get a fully filled trailer at the front, but rather "empty" at the back for example.
2. realistic trailer content = when unloading, if 50% of the volume is unloaded, we should see 50% remaining in the trailer. This is absolutely not the case currently. This is especially "bad" with conical shaped trailer. (example : jm x1112 auger wagon. When it says there is 2000L remaining, the wagon is nearly empty ! the fill plane is moving in "y" axis proportionnaly to the volume unloaded. It does not take into account the wagon shape at all !
3. realistic unloading effect (what we see in the video = the rear of the trailer is unloaded first and then all the content is moving toward the rear, "flowing" with waves).

But this is not a trivial matter and should be handle at quite a low level of the game engine
