rmmod msm_kgsl leaves the system in an unusable state

After loading msm_kgsl, if one attempts to rmmod msm_kgsl the system is left in an unusable state. When performed from a tty, the rmmod seems to be fine unless one switches back to a graphical session and then the system freezes, probably because of a kernel panic.

I booted a monza system with freedreno, built kgsl, the module was loaded, I could see it in lsmod. then ran modprobe -r on it. During this time, my xorg session continued working.

Which system and steps did you take?

I ran it on my T14s, which may or may not be supported.
