- One human user
- Many nonhuman agents
- One/many biosignal channels
- Input: Heart-beat, ECG or stethoscope (sound)
- Output: Immersive image of "stars"
- User sits on chair (with vibration/haptic) and is "hooked up" into the system.
- Ambient sound plays. Agent "fireflies" wander around (unsync), tend to stay at the horizon.
- Change in sound (drones/dramatic). Agents become bigger, slightly more excited, and tend to occupy more space (move up).
- Beginning of synching period: Agents flash and emit very dim sound which is the same as the sound of the user's heart. Agents synchronize between one another + with the heartbeat of the user (which influences them "more").
- In the end all agents beat at the same time as user. As they become more sync they stabilize and become "stars" + bigger flashes.
- OPTIONS:
- Everything just stops: stars disappear, sound faints and user only hears his heartbeat fading out.
- Decrescendo: Stars fall down, sound of heartbeat is modified to sound like arythmia. Not sure how to end this.
- Two human users
- Many biosignal channels
- Group of users
- One biosignal channel
- Input: Heart-beat
- Output: Immersive image of "stars"
- When people come in, they receive a sign that shows them "their" symbol (a star-shaped sign) which then appears on the projection, beating at the same pace as their heartbeat. There is also a sonification of each person's hearbeat. Finally, they also each have a vibropixel on them (vibration + LED). The vibropixel just beats at the same beat as their heartbeat.
- Heartbeats/stars's degree of synchrony is shown by lines between the "stars". The vibropixels then "drift" into acting like firefly agents whose objective is to synchronize with one another and to "match" the "group" hearbeat.
