Stop discarding every three-byte match farther than 4096 bytes. These legal matches reduce image output enough to cut total level-6 corpus output by 4.04%: Maltese falls 5.67% and Sunrise 3.87%. Text grows 0.29% and map data grows 0.94%.
Short Linux JVM measurements show Sunrise compression falling from 1.67 s to 1.43 s, while Rainier slows down. The report retains every corpus result and raw timing sample instead of claiming a universal speedup.
All 177 JVM tests and 70 corpus/level size and JDK interoperability checks pass on Linux. Only KFlate was timed; the saved Kompress results are reused. See
performance/2026-09-09-triples/RESULTS.md.Timing calibration: unchanged baseline text varied from 60.37 to 85.43 ms across three fresh forks. Initial single-fork text ratios are provisional; compressed-size results are deterministic.
