FL-95, from feedback: starting a new diagram should not feel like picking a template.

  • An empty diagram is now the canvas itself: pen, text, double-click and typing all work on it straight away.
  • A quiet hint says how to begin. It never blocks drawing and goes at the first shape or stroke.
  • Samples are one click away: Start from a sample on the hint, or New from a sample in the menu and command palette. Undo still brings back the previous diagram.
  • The minimap hides while the canvas is blank.
  • Fixes the Ctrl+K e2e flake: the test pressed Escape before the new shape's title field existed.

Tests: 340 unit, 158 e2e, all passing.

An empty diagram showed a list of samples in place of the canvas, so the
tools could not be used on it. Samples are now a link on the blank canvas and
New from a sample in the menu.
