about-me
Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind
like:
- C,
- C++,
- asm (x86),
- unix-like operating systems,
- R,
- networking security,
- system programming
don't like:
- Python (I don't like a language that runs on whitespaces (plus it's C under the hood anyway))
- most scripting languages in general (Perl seems cool though, Lua too (I could use it for LuaTex)
- web development (you can't use most websites these days properly)
- artificial intelligence (I could write a whole manifesto on why it's bad and this page has been flooded with ai slop since it's genesis. This is the downfall of western civilisation and I hope the ai bubble bursts just like the dotcom bubble burst back then. the way it's integrated into every website and service makes me wanna commit toaster bath. "give copilot something to work in the background and it creates a pull request when it's done", "fleet management with claude, gpt-5.2 and some other slop factory". no wonder windows 11 is causing ssd failures if every single loc is vibe-coded.)
worked (professionally) with:
- C,
- HTML / JS (data project for a university course: dissect and present the voting data from all united nations resolutions from 2023) (I didn't finish college btw),
- Python (I hated it),
- R,
- LaTex (I wrote my bachelors thesis with LaTeX (it was about concurrency and multithreading while analyzing huge chunks of side-channel attack data on smartcards. it was a pretty cool project)) (yes I wrote a bachelors thesis and still didn't finish college, so what?),
- VBA (analyzing excel exports from a database that was filled with that company's science projects (it was close to 10k projects at the time) so the shareholders could see the relevant data in a presentable form and not just in excel sheets. why did I do it in excel and not just in python? (cause I hate python) it was supposed to go on the push of a button so my coworkers could export the data directly. it was more of a wrapper thing and not for every excel sheet a new diagram creation vba script)
currently working on:
- my own operating system (laxOS, hosted on here),
- teaching myself pen-testing in my home network,
- how to play doom (praise be to chocolate doom)
interested in working with / on:
- shell scripting
- more system programming
- more R (it's so cool),
- LaTeX,
- Lua (mostly for LuaTex)
- Perl,
ideas:
- program that calculates the collission resistance for two hashes it's given, but just out of curiosity what working with security libs is like in C or just in general
- a little floating thingy that shows what button you pressed on your xbox controller and what direction your stick is pointing / a "daemon" that shows what key you pressed on your keyboard
- syncing text documents (for your diary and such) over a local network (basically just a free version of obsidian)
- extracting latex formulas from .md-files (like those from obsidian), writing them into a latex document and compiling a "cheat sheet" from that
- efficient fibonacci number generator
- t.b.d.
I don't have twitter, linkedin or some other god-forsaken app, so please don't ask. thanks for reading this far.
