  • have phones alternating direction, face US then Mexico then US again, and use secondary camera

  • give suspicious events a priority ranking for example gunshot > motion in day==heat at night>motion at night==heat in day

  • future expansion

  • use infrared sensor as a simple point and shoot infrared thermometer - soon to be availible

  • old phones become extra redundant phones new phones become primary

  • add phones to take pictures of the border itself

  • turn phone into wifi hotspot for sending data use bluetooth to detect other phones

  • Need ~300,000 phones to cross US/Mexico border if using class 2 bluetooth

  • ~20,000 are 802.11g wifi hotspots, hotspots shift in one direction to next available neighbor

  • ~1000 are 3g/4g/802.11y enabled maximum 10 hops over wifi, send data to AMT

  • 300,000 is the minimum number with no redundancy

  • if you can clone sim cards and give every phone access to 3G it may be possible to get rid of wifi

  • security issues

  • gun shot heard by neighbor nodes

  • rf jammer causes neighbor nodes to be suspicious

  • rocks being thrown causes accelerometer to be set off

  • arrows?

  • use rfid tagged money

  • initialization

  • phones have preloaded high detail maps no need for gps after initialization

  • during phone placement initial reference image is taken to help reduce false positives and reliance on AMT

  • root and underclock, use lightweight rom

  • use cheap <0 wide angle and telescopic lenses

  • ask AMT if images contain humans/fire/vehicle, If yes send data to authorities

  • push to talk service for getting help

  • solar panel and graphene capacitor for power supply

  • Boeing SBInet fence >B

  • find uses for other common smartphone features

  • vibrator

  • infrared emitter

  • speaker phone

  • use tablets and eink readers - kindle w/3g

  • routing between cluster nodes: routing protocol verbosity versus latency in nodes

  • 3 different node types: bluetooth, wifi (802.11g), 3g (802.11y)

  • node distribution: local election or global election? global would be easier...

  • sonar as secondary detection method:
