The new PoweredForMMS property is an alternative to the Powered property to start an attachment procedure. Differently to Powered, it is not persistent and it is thought to be used when we want to attach/detach for a concrete short task like sending an MMS.

For dual SIM standby modems, if set for a non-attached modem, it will force a detach from the other modem, but without changing the Powered property. If this happens, when unset it will configure the other slot to make it try to attach again.

nuntium implements usage of this property in

ubuntu-phonedations/nuntium#20

Add a new property (PoweredForMMS) that will allow sending MMS even
when we do not want internet data active. This property will let us
send MMS in multi-SIM dual standby modems for the non-attached slot
too, by the procedure of stealing temporalily the GPRS attachement from
the attached slot.
