I was looking in the issues because I noticed my emissive materials didn't show in the GUI. There was an issue or request and i saw you answered with "done". see this issue > #3
Though i dont see this working

However, this is for LightGroups, i think i see now that this was for the Light Editor main panel

Good catch, and your follow-up was right — that "done" on #3 was the Light Editor main panel, not Light Groups. Emissive meshes were never shown in the Light Groups panel at all: every list in LightGroup.py filtered on obj.type == 'LIGHT', so meshes were excluded by construction even though Cycles assigns them to light groups like any other emitter.

Fixed in #14. Lights and emissive meshes now go through one shared helper, so they show up in the group lists and work with Assign/Unassign, Deselect All, solo, and group removal.

While fixing it I found a second bug worth flagging. is_emissive_node_active() was added in 702d252 ("emission at 0 or with color at black don't show up in list anymore") and then removed, together with its call site, by 8d679a8 ("cleanup code"). Without it, node type alone decided whether a material counted as emissive — and every Principled BSDF has an Emission Strength socket, so since that commit every ordinary material qualified. It's restored and now shared by both panels so the two lists agree.

If you can test the branch against your scene I'd appreciate it.
