This submission updates the core documentation for the legacy editor modernization effort. The updates to FEATURES_RESEARCH.md and ROADMAP_EDITOR.md reflect a massive increase in scope and standards, demanding that every implemented and planned feature (based on reference submodules like Aseprite and Tiled) is exhaustively represented in the UI and fully documented in external manuals. The HANDOFF.md has been updated to convey these high standards to the next agent.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 576910928674129065 started by @robertpelloni

…doff notes

- Update `FEATURES_RESEARCH.md` with detailed analysis of external
editor submodules (Aseprite, Tiled, etc.) and establish strict UI
and documentation strategies for each feature category.
- Overhaul `ROADMAP_EDITOR.md` into phased execution, prioritizing UI
representation and advanced tool parity with reference submodules.
- Update `HANDOFF.md` to document the new roadmap, session progress,
and directives for the next execution phase.
