Setup

Voice memos are transcribed with the OpenAI Audio API. If the API rejects Telegram's OGG/Opus file, the bot runs ffmpeg once to convert to WAV — install ffmpeg on the host (e.g. brew install ffmpeg on macOS).

Copy .env.example to .env and fill in the required values. The bot will not start without at least one allowed user ID:

Long-term Memory

Dobby stores the apartment search profile in .dobby/apartment_profile.md. This file is created automatically on first use and is gitignored.
