The local Dark Mode field renders disabled with the note "Controlled by Free Form Certificate", refuses to autosave, and Settings::save() keeps the stored value when the disabled field posts nothing. Without FFC nothing changes. Buttons follow a slim copy of FFC's family: .ie-btn with the primary and neutral categories, built by Button (PHP) and button() (form script), reading --ie-btn-* tokens each palette maps. Icons come from one registry (Icons, moved out of Admin), drawn as masks from a generated icons.css; the screenshot viewer's glyphs became registry icons.
