Ansroid 17 latest beta
WHOOP strap / Oura ring model
WHOOP MG
Where the data is coming from
Live Bluetooth (WHOOP strap connected)
Test Centre profile
Not a test-mode bug
What happens
The app experiences an issue where the live heart rate stream stops updating and displays as "Missing" (despite an active full strap stream and bond). However, periodic historical data synchronization—such as the 5-minute interval heart rate data used for the charts on the home screen—continues to fetch and sync successfully. When this live stream failure occurs, standard troubleshooting steps (app restart, toggling Bluetooth, restarting the band, or a full phone reboot) do not resolve the problem.
What you expected instead
The live heart rate stream should update in real-time alongside the background historical sync. If the live stream drops, it should automatically recover or reconnect.
Steps to reproduce
1.Connect the strap to the app (Full Bond / Live session active).
2. Observe that the home screen / historical charts successfully pull and update periodic heart rate data (e.g., 5-minute averages).
3. 3.avigate to the live console and observe that the live heart rate value remains missing or stuck, even though historical syncing works fine.
4. 4. Attempt recovery via Bluetooth toggle, app restart, band reboot, or complete phone reboot (observe that the live stream issue persists).
