Statistics · Data Analytics · Linux
My background is in statistics. I’m interested in understanding data, asking better questions, and drawing conclusions that hold up to scrutiny.
I enjoy the process of analysis: exploring a dataset, checking assumptions, choosing suitable methods, and explaining the results clearly—including what they leave uncertain.
- Statistics: probability, inference, and understanding uncertainty.
- Data analytics: finding patterns, investigating differences, and turning observations into useful explanations.
- Machine learning: understanding how models work, how to evaluate them, and when their predictions deserve confidence.
Python is my main language for exploring these interests.
I also enjoy Linux and open source—understanding how my system works, making it fit the way I work, and contributing improvements along the way.
Away from the keyboard, I enjoy chess. Sometimes, a stubborn bug keeps me at the keyboard longer than planned.
