Why

The root README led with systems internals (CSR layout, disjoint IDs, harness tests) instead of problem → stored result. That is a poor 6-second interview scan.

What

  • Lead README with the MovieLens GraphSAGE sampling problem and three copied results/ claims:
    • Native C++ graph_sampler 111.177× vs matching Python reference (median; synthetic CSR).
    • GraphSAGE beats same-protocol implicit MF on single-seed ML-100K Recall@10 (0.047720 vs 0.038176, seed 7).
    • ADR-008 demo CLI: scripts/demo_recommend.py loads a checkpoint and prints top-K.
  • Keep the systems pipeline explicit: C++ CSR + seeded sampler → native minibatch GraphSAGE (SAGEConv) → MF comparison → 5-seed leaderboard → demo CLI.
  • Move disjoint-ID / CSR / duplicate-edge details to a lower Whiteboard follow-ups section.
  • Point docs/architecture.md at the README pitch. No new experiments, metrics, or Phase 9 features.

Fact-check

Numbers are copied from existing committed artifacts (results/sampler_timing.md, results/gnn_vs_mf_movielens_100k.md, results/multiseed_gnn_vs_mf_movielens_100k.md). Multi-seed mean Recall@10 is noted as overlapping in sample-std, not a significance claim.

Lead with problem → stored result (111.177× native sampler, single-seed
Recall@10 GraphSAGE vs MF, ADR-008 demo CLI). Move CSR/ID internals
below. Point architecture.md at the README pitch. No new experiments.
