Phase 0: Promote AR-designed product identity (docs only) #254

Description

@scrimshawlife-ctrl

Authority context

  • Binding docs currently define Waykin as “audio-first”.
  • Supporting design documents (AR_PRODUCT_REDESIGN_MAP.md, AR_APP_REDESIGN_PLAN.md) already record the operator decision that Waykin is designed for AR as the primary session surface.
  • This issue executes Phase 0 of the redesign plan: pure documentation + agent context. No Swift behavior change, no freeze lift, no Core boundary change.

User-visible outcome

Binding product language no longer describes Waykin as audio-first. AR is stated as the primary designed session surface when the device allows; audio remains a required supporting presentation channel; movement remains the sole gameplay authority.

Allowed systems

  • docs/SOLO_MVP_SCOPE.md
  • WAYKIN_SPEC.md
  • README.md (hero + pillar wording)
  • ARCHITECTURE.md (presentation narrative only)
  • docs/legal/TERMS.md (if it still says audio-first)
  • Agent / skill context files (skills/**/references/REPO_CONTEXT.md, .grok/skills/**/REPO_CONTEXT.md)
  • Pointer updates in AR_MVP_FREEZE.md and CONTINUATION_PLAN.md (historical note only)

Frozen systems

  • All of App/AR/** (freeze remains in force)
  • WaykinCore (no new dependencies, no isolation changes)
  • Movement integrity, event generation, Bond, pursuit, persistence
  • Outdoor quality claims

Explicit non-goals

  • Any feature work or freeze exception
  • Continuous walker re-anchor
  • New ARWorldCommand cases
  • Dropping semantic audio
  • Outdoor PASS claims

Required tests / validation

  • make validate still green
  • After merge: rg -n -i 'audio-first|audio first' --glob '!**/receipts/**' should return only historical or clearly non-genus references

Evidence

Documentation-only change. No device evidence required.

Acceptance criteria

  • Binding identity language updated as proposed
  • Agent REPO_CONTEXT files aligned
  • Freeze document contains a pointer to this Phase 0 work and the redesign map
  • No code behavior change
  • make validate passes

Proposed text (for implementer)

docs/SOLO_MVP_SCOPE.md — Product Promise

From:

Waykin is an audio-first adaptive walking experience where the real world quietly appears to notice, remember, and respond through Lira, Bond, bounded phenomena, and concise session memories.

To:

Waykin is an AR-designed adaptive walking experience. One companion, Lira, meets you in the world as you walk. Movement is the game. AR, audio, map, and HUD are presentation channels — with AR the primary designed surface when the device allows. The real world quietly appears to notice, remember, and respond through Lira, Bond, bounded phenomena, and concise session memories.

Also update the “Allowed MVP Content” bullet that currently says “One audio-first semantic presentation path” to:

One multi-channel presentation path (AR primary when available, audio as required supporting channel, 2D presence and map as fallback).

WAYKIN_SPEC.md — Product Contract

From:

Waykin is an audio-first adaptive walking experience in which one persistent companion, Lira, and one bounded pursuit-pressure state respond to how the user moves.

To:

Waykin is an AR-designed adaptive walking experience in which one persistent companion, Lira, and one bounded pursuit-pressure state respond to how the user moves. AR is the primary designed session surface when the device supports it. Semantic audio remains a required supporting presentation channel. Movement remains the sole gameplay authority.

README.md — Hero line

From:

An audio-first adaptive walking experience.
You move. Lira moves with you. The world responds. Bond grows.

To:

An AR-designed adaptive walking experience.
You move. Lira meets you in the world. The world responds. Bond grows.

Keep the rest of the Approved MVP Systems list and Binding Invariants unchanged. Core isolation rule stays exactly as written.
