- Log key actions: login/logout, document views, tag/coding changes, redactions, exports/productions, and admin/permission changes.
- Capture actor, timestamp, and (where relevant) source IP.
- Viewable/exportable for defensibility.

Defensibility + security. Directly supports the FreeEed HECVAT audit-logging requirements (AAAI-09 / AAAI-10) — same capability the Tulane security review needs, so this cluster and the HECVAT build overlap.
