DeepSeek Harness (dsh) is an open-source agent harness developed by DeepSeek AI.
It uses an architecture where everything is a plugin, and is powered by Cordis, whose design is described in A Programming Paradigm for Spatiotemporal Composability.
DeepSeek Harness is currently in developer preview and is iterating rapidly. THERE WILL BE COMPATIBILITY-BREAKING CHANGES.
Install Node.js, then run:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh webThe command starts the Web UI, served at http://127.0.0.1:3080 by default. See Web UI guide.
To run from a repository checkout:
git clone https://github.com/deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness.git
cd deepseek-harness
pnpm install
pnpm run build
pnpm dsh webThis community distribution preserves Minimal's fixed prompt and two native tools while making host adapters available through dshx inside persistent Bash. Native Windows is not supported by the current persistent-terminal provider; use Linux, macOS, or WSL.
git clone https://github.com/sindo-s/deepseek-harness-cli-bus.git
cd deepseek-harness-cli-bus
pnpm run setup:minimal-cli-bus
pnpm run dsh:minimalThe setup command installs dependencies, builds the workspace, and links the source checkout's dshx executable. dsh:minimal starts the Web UI with Minimal selected for new sessions; no manual symlink or PATH edit is required.
