Data loss when downgrading from 3.0 to 2.0

I was upgrading stuff on my server + modpack includingn this mod but then went back to 2.0 because i didnt like that 3.0 didnt have the menu and everythign was goen. Everyones progress was erased. The server itself is fine, the world is still exactly like it was, only without the presets we had, without all our stuff. sorry this is so incomprehensible im sorry i'm just so upset right now i jsut want our stuff back

Disclaimer: All mods that manipulate player data have a save corruption risk!
Always take backups of your worlds, especially when updating mods.

New save data format (automatically upgrades, leaving a _switchy.dat_old file with the v2 data)

Don't downgrade mods that handle player data! especially not between major version boundaries.

Here's instructions for a partial data restore - you'll lose everything that you did on v3, because the backup was taken when it was first installed.

• back up your playerdata folder
• Use an NBT editor to manually copy the root compound of each uuid_switchy.dat_old into respective uuid.dats at the key switchy:presets
• Compare the inventory data at Inventory with those in the presets data and ENSURE that the current preset is set correctly (inventory data should mostly match) - edit the current value if needed.
• Boot the server with v2 again and have each player check their data one by one.
