[Windows 11] Pass higher resolution album art to Windows System Media Transport Controls (SMTC)

The problem

Description

Currently, the album artwork that Sonora sends to the Windows System Media Transport Controls (SMTC) appears to be a very low-resolution thumbnail (possibly 64x64).

While this might not be a huge issue within Sonora's own UI, it becomes very noticeable when looking at the Windows volume overlay. More importantly, it heavily affects third-party integrations. For example, using apps like "Music Presence" (which reads the current media session from Windows to display Discord Rich Presence) results in highly pixelated and blurry album covers on Discord.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Play any track on Sonora on Windows.
2. Trigger the Windows volume/media overlay or connect a third-party app that reads SMTC data (like Music Presence).
3. Observe the fetched album artwork is low quality/pixelated.

What you want instead

Expected Behavior

It would be great if Sonora could fetch and pass a higher resolution version of the album cover (e.g., 300x300 or 640x640) to the OS media controller. This would make the Windows overlay look much cleaner and allow third-party integrations to display the artwork in proper quality.

if this problem is the known limitation that you mentioned on issue #472 , the second smtc album photo example is from ncspot's (https://github.com/hrkfdn/ncspot) modified version by me(mostly gemini pro)
