Summary
Issue #134 introduced a one-time migration command, npm run migrate:venue-islands (scripts/migrate-venue-islands.ts), to backfill the canonical island field on venue documents. That migration has been successfully applied to all production venue records, so the tooling is now disposable.
Scope
- Remove
scripts/migrate-venue-islands.ts and the migrate:venue-islands package script.
- Remove README /
docs/TECHNICAL.md / admin-docs references that present the migration as an active operational command.
- Remove
resolveVenueGeography() and its migration-only tests if nothing else uses it.
- Keep the venue model, canonical island grouping/filtering, admin island selector, Firestore island validation, card locality composition, and the transitional legacy
locationName read fallback — none of that changes.
