Antigravity usage refresh repeatedly opens a Google sign-in page when agy's silent login fails (Windows) #26484
On Windows, a browser window keeps opening a Google sign-in page ("Continue to Google Antigravity") while Orca is running with the Antigravity CLI installed.
Mechanism (from code + reporter's agy logs)
With the status-bar Antigravity meter on (default), every usage refresh (default 15 min) runs agy --version and agy -p /usage --output-format json --print-timeout 20s (src/main/rate-limits/antigravity-usage-command.ts, antigravity-usage-fetcher.ts).
The reporter's agy log shows silent login failing (Google token endpoint timeout), after which agy falls back to interactive OAuth and opens the browser. Log timestamps match the browser pop-ups.
Orca classifies the signed-out reply as unavailable and keeps polling, so the pop-up repeats each cycle. Nothing in the spawn prevents agy from opening a browser.
Why agy's silent refresh fails is inside agy; not a confirmed root cause on Orca's side beyond the repeated call.
Expected
Background quota reads never trigger an interactive sign-in. After a sign-in failure, stop or back off and show "sign in with agy" guidance instead.
Workaround
Settings → Appearance → Status bar → turn off "Antigravity Usage". Since #24593 no agy process is started while it is off.
