[Bug]: Cannot switch Claude accounts: live connector credentials conflict; existing authorizations were preserved #28118
Same error here on 1.4.224 (macOS 27.0.1, arm64). This looks like a duplicate of #27334, which a maintainer closed as fixed on main by #26801. The fix isn't in a release yet, so 1.4.224 still has it.
What I saw: Orca compares the MCP connector tokens (mcpOAuth) in three places: the Claude Code-credentials keychain item, the per-config-dir Claude Code-credentials-<hash> item, and ~/.claude/.credentials.json. On my machine three servers' entries differed. The legacy Claude Code-credentials item held the newest tokens; one had been refreshed that morning. The other two copies were still on tokens that expired days earlier.
Workaround until the next release: copy the mcpOAuth block from Claude Code-credentials into the other two copies so all three match, then relaunch the session. If you write the keychain item with security -i, keep in mind it truncates lines at about 4 KB. Pass the value as an argument to security add-generic-password -U … -X <hex> instead.
Thanks for reporting this, and thanks @steveermish for the detailed workaround.
This is the same bug as #27334. It came in with 1.4.223 and also affects 1.4.224. Orca checks that your Claude connector logins match in all three places they're stored, and refuses to switch accounts if they don't. A reboot doesn't help because the stored copies stay out of sync.
The fix is already on main (#26801), which removes that check, and it will ship in the next release. Until then, the workaround in the comment above works: copy the mcpOAuth block from the Claude Code-credentials keychain item into the other two copies so all three match, then relaunch the session.
Closing as a duplicate of #27334. Please reopen if you still hit this after updating to the next release.
