The general principle of a destructible is to have some threshold force above which contact breaks it, with the main object being replaced by new ones. This makes tracks more dynamic and while in normal racing it is best to avoid such things, kids love it.
However, right now it appears we have two options:
- A destructible that can't move. The kart will lose all momentum, which looks wrong when the destructible seems rather small or weak.
- A movable destructible. This doesn't stop the kart when it shouldn't, taking only some momentum (configurable with its weight), but unfortunately it's also prone to moving when it shouldn't. Also, having too many movables is bad for performance.
What we want is a destructible that doesn't take all of the kart's momentum, but that stays in position unless the kart (or some other thing such as a bowling ball) touches it and destroy it.
