Additional reviewed repair: the documented browser smoke tool now uses installed Edge on Windows or the existing Playwright Chromium elsewhere, with an explicit path override. All eight original smoke assertions remain. The original portable run exposed a real label/content mismatch in the shared brand; removing its overriding aria-label preserves the visible accessible name. The existing browser smoke command is now a required deployment CI step, and the a11y suite independently asserts the brand name across themes and viewport sizes. All 8 smoke controls and 43 browser tests pass, with the original negative evidence retained.
