Use Cases
ShelfWise is built to help anyone who needs to turn raw product identifiers into complete, sellable listings. The primary focus is helping small businesses and merchants bring their products online quickly.
The core go-to-market use case: A merchant downloads a CSV from their point-of-sale (POS) system, uploads it to ShelfWise, and receives enriched product data ready for delivery marketplaces.
- Restaurants moving onto third-party delivery apps
- Convenience stores and grocers selling on Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, or Instacart
- Liquor stores, bakeries, and specialty shops listing inventory online
- Ghost kitchens and virtual brands expanding to multiple platforms
- Merchant exports a CSV from Square, Toast, Clover, Lightspeed, or another POS.
- The CSV contains at minimum a
upccolumn ( ShelfWise accepts it as-is ). - ShelfWise scrapes public databases, verifies images, and resolves names and categories.
- Merchant downloads a marketplace-formatted export.
- Merchant uploads the file to Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, Shopify, or their own website.
- POS exports often contain truncated or inconsistent names.
- Marketplace onboarding requires high-quality photos and descriptions.
- Manual listing creation for hundreds of SKUs is slow and error-prone.
- ShelfWise can cut onboarding time from days to minutes.
- Buy pallets or lots with only UPC barcodes.
- Quickly generate e-commerce listings with images and descriptions.
- Export to Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce.
- Maintain a digital catalog from a simple UPC list.
- Share enriched product data with retail buyers.
- Generate consistent descriptions and specs across a large catalog.
- Bring a brick-and-mortar inventory online.
- Create a searchable product gallery for a personal website.
- Keep listings updated by re-uploading the POS export.
ShelfWise is designed to be valuable to delivery platforms themselves. A potential path is partnering with or selling to companies like Uber, DoorDash, Grubhub, or their merchant-services divisions, enabling their clients to upload POS CSVs directly within the platform and auto-generate compliant listings.
| Channel | Export Format |
