• Sweep: the analytic recognition turns the extrusion of a 0.89 mm cubic spline 7e-7 mm off its chord into a cylinder of radius 216985, which the surface check then refuses (SmSurfOfRevolution Test #10, 4.15e-3 against 2.6e-9); C++ alike

  tangency-labs/solidcore#2540 · Filter by author H1D opened on Nov 3, 2026

• Check: SmEllipse Test #2 refuses a cone minus a notched box by 4 % of its tolerance (3.97e-9 against 3.81e-9); without the notch the cut passes; C++ alike, and on the assembly the two kernels refuse different operands (part volume −5.8 % against −1 %)

• Boolean: a tilted cylinder centred on the edge where a box's face meets a slanted face (a quarter-round notch along a 4° edge) fails: make_faceuse status 1001 when its caps sit on the faces, else SmFace #36 or Bad Gap; the mirror image and a vertical cylinder on an edge pass

  tangency-labs/solidcore#2538 · Filter by author H1D opened on Nov 3, 2026

• Boolean: a box minus a tilted cylinder whose end-cap centre and seam end lie on the box's top face is refused (SmFace #36 twice; C++: Bad Gap ×8 at 9e-6 plus #36 ×2); 1 µm longer, the mirror image, or the same at the bottom face passes
