Prepare the Desktop release of the rc.5 upgrade already merged in PR #73. Changes only the Desktop package version and release notes.
The rc.5 upgrade passed Web, enterprise and all three platform packaging gates. The new tag must be built from main and its publisher must verify the package version, source commit and asset digests.
Validation: package JSON and release tag agree; git diff --check passed. No runtime implementation or user data changes.
