Reason: I don't like jquery Validation that this was good:  where: the first part is after my refactor, the second before, both moving as fast.

Built off of @Haroenv's forked branch which removed jQuery, tidied up HTML, tweaked a few things in the JS, and added image assets to the repo so that the example works again out of the box.
