Thanks for pull request. The only thing I'm not very confortable with is that it could fit under Redhat|CentOS. I don't see the point in duplicating the block if it is the same. Could you try to extend the Redhat|CentOS case, and send a pull request again ?

A patch has been submitted and merged to move from $::operatingsystem to $::osfamily. I'd be most gratefull to you if you can pull the latest version and test it on fedora (as it's a redhat derivative).

I've been assigned other tasks at work; I passed the email along to my
coworker who is in a position to actually check in on this. I'll see if
he's got anything to say about it when I go into the office tomorrow.

I can confirm that the client works with SSL/TLS, and the basic master server (with the foobar config), after your patches for Issue #14.
I'm not really in a position to test the other configuration options, but hopefully this is enough to get started.

On a slight sidenote, though, all versions of RHEL and Fedora still prefer Certificate Authority certs in /etc/openldap/cacerts, not /etc/openldap/certs.
