v1.0.4
Add align/arrange, snapping, rulers & guides, eyedropper, nudge, preview opacity
- Z-order: Bring to Front/Forward, Send Backward/to Back (Ctrl+] / Ctrl+[ and
the Shift variants), in the Edit menu and right-click Arrange submenu. - Align & Distribute: align the selection by edges/centres and distribute
spacing; each object or group moves as a unit. - Arrow-key nudge (1px, Shift = 10px).
- Smart snapping while dragging: snaps to other objects' edges, centres and
transformed corners, and to guides, with a magenta indicator; Ctrl bypasses. - Rulers (Ctrl+R) with drag-out horizontal/vertical guide lines; drag a guide
onto a ruler to delete, or Options > Clear Guides. Editor-only, never exported. - Eyedropper (I, plus buttons in the Color and Properties panels) with an
eyedropper cursor; click an object to apply its colour to the selection. - Preview opacity (right-click): a visual-only dim that never changes the
exported colour; dimming a group flattens it so overlaps don't compound. - Marquee selecting any part of a grouped object now selects the whole group.
- Fix the Color panel RGB sliders (they read the spin boxes instead of the
slider positions, so dragging did nothing).
v1.0.3
Editing & Workflow Update
Isolation Mode (new)
- Double-click a group to enter isolation — edit only that group's objects while everything else stays visible but
subdued. - Inside a group, objects select individually (no need to ungroup to edit them).
- The backdrop behind the group is uniformly dimmed as one flattened image; layers stacked above the group are hidden
so the group is clearly on top. - Double-click deeper to step into nested sub-groups; Esc (or double-click empty space) steps back out one level.
Grouping
- Group and Ungroup are now separate actions. Ctrl+G groups only (never ungroups); Ungroup has no shortcut.
- Grouping no longer requires objects to be adjacent in the layer stack — any 2+ shapes sharing a parent can be
grouped and are gathered together.
Right-click canvas menu (new)
- Group, Ungroup, Flip Horizontal/Vertical, Rotate 90 CW/CCW, Lock Selection, Unlock All.
Transform
- Flip now performs a true mirror instead of a 180° rotation (an unrotated shape stays at rotation 0).
- Rotate 90° CW/CCW rotates the selection rigidly about its center.
Selection & moving
- Dragging a multi-selection moves all selected objects together instead of collapsing to the one you clicked.
- A selected object stays draggable even when another object overlaps on top of it.
- Locked objects are no longer selectable on the canvas — clicks pass through to what's above/below (respects group
locks). - The transform box hides while you drag to move and reappears on release (Illustrator-style).
New shortcuts
- Ctrl+J — Duplicate
- Ctrl+2 — Lock Selection
- Ctrl+3 — Unlock All
Fixes
- Paste now always lands in front of the original (previously could paste to the very back on ungrouped projects).
v1.0.2
Add Illustrator-style Color panel and refine the panel/selection UX
- New dockable Color panel: recent colours, R/G/B sliders with live
gradient tracks, hex field, and a hue/value spectrum. Double-clicking the
fill swatch (or a recent colour) opens the colour picker. Edits apply live
to the selection as a single undo step and stay in sync with Properties. - Right-side panels are separate stacked sections (Properties, Color,
Project/Header) with a thin 1px divider only between stacked panels. They
are scrollable and size to their content so each opens fully; heights are
re-applied on maximize so nothing is clipped or overlapped. - Shapes browser tiles are flat: no per-tile box/outline, hover fill only.
- Locked objects are no longer selectable on the canvas - click, marquee and
hover all skip them (respecting group locks) so you can grab what is above. - Dragging a selection to move it hides the transform box until release,
matching Illustrator.
v1.0.1
Added flip horizontal / vertical options, refined guide layer workings.
