Meeting, 07/17/2025

We'll use the tag M25 to mark all of the questions we are working on this summer during the phase where we are just learning PL.

Some of those questions might make it into the real F25 course, and some might not.

Big picture plan for next two weeks:

• Phill will focus on starting to set up the F25 course with real assignments, etc. .. the broad outline of everything except the PL assignments.
• Then, it will be more clear, as we develop "real" PL questions, where they will fit in the course. At that point, we'll create an Instance for F25, and start creating "assessments" as well.

In the meantime:

• Rachit is working on getting datascience incorporated into questions with external graders
• Stacy can work on questions that only need vanilla Python, and the numpy library:
  • In terms of organizing your work, I suggest looking through these sources for inspiration to make questions
  • textbook chapters starting with 3 (going as far as you want)
  • actual lectures from S25
  • worksheets and labs from S25
  • Later on: projects, but not until we have datascience access sorted out.

Future infrastructure stuff to work on:

• Accessing a "real jupyter notebook environment" inside of PL
• Setting up the readthedocs site on this very repo so that we can document how to do things as we go.

Within two weeks, we should have a much clearer idea of what the F25 course will look like, week by week, and be able to start slotting our PL questions into real actual assessments that we plan to use in F25.
