According to the table published by Nvidia here, the compatibility of CUDA 10 with Centos 7 is guaranteed with gcc 4.8.5. Which is clear since this OS comes with that version by default. In Ixtlilton a test is done also with gcc 6.4. But the last version is 8.3, is installing gcc 8.3 a good idea? Does it make any performance improvement in computational experiments?
