Steven Vanden Heuvel

I design payments and checkout products, and the design systems underneath them. Then I build them. Most of what is here started as a Figma file and did not stop there.

Principal Designer (contract) on PayPal's Merchant XD team, December 2025 to August 2026. Before that, design systems for MTG Media Group.

What is in here

cc-router · A macOS app that sends each prompt to the right Claude model, then opens a real Claude Code session on a Max subscription instead of a per-token API. Live plan usage, session recall, and a Claude Code plugin that shares the same routing rules. Apache 2.0.

plate-storybook and altmeat-storybook · Two design systems I built at MTG Media Group, rebuilt as Storybooks so the components can be read and used rather than screenshotted.

fee-savings-estimator · A merchant fee comparison tool. Payments, in the small.

stevendesignco-portfolio · The site itself. Astro and vanilla CSS custom properties, no component framework. Its Storybook pulls the stylesheet from the running site, so the library cannot drift from what ships.
