Doc-only assembly of 9 fragments into ## [v1.40.1]. Clean.
Verified:
- 35-line section at
CHANGELOG.md:7–41, extractable by the CI awk pattern - Exactly one
## [v1.40.1]heading; date matches today (2026-10-04); uses-separator (not em dash), consistent with v1.40.0 and v1.39.x - All 9 fragments (#2954, #2955, #2956, #2957, #2958, #2959, #2960, #2961, #2962) are represented and deleted; #2950 (CI-only) correctly excluded
- Wording divergences from the raw fragments look intentional: PR numbers added to bullets that lacked them, the key-rotation sentence from
sec-queue-grab.mdpromoted to Upgrade Notes, minor prose fixes ("of one Bindery" → "of a result Bindery" in the Changed entry) - No comparison link added for v1.40.1 at the bottom of the file, but v1.40.0 and v1.39.x were also left without one, so this is consistent with current practice and not a blocker

Assembles the
## [v1.40.1]section ofCHANGELOG.mdfrom the nine fragments onmainand removes them fromchangelog.d/. Covers #2954, #2955, #2956, #2957, #2958, #2959, #2960, #2961 and #2962, plus #2987, #2988 (#2942), #2989 and #2990 (#2944), which merged after the first assembly, then #3000 (#2998), #3003 (#2937), #3005, #3006 (#2665) and #3008 (#2926). #2950 is CI only and left out.The section leads with upgrade notes:
BINDERY_ALLOWED_HOSTSforlocal-onlyanddisabledinstalls reached by a domain name,:latestnow tracking releases only, and a suggestion to rotate indexer keys on installs with non admin accounts. It mentions the two additive migrations (099 session revocations, 100 files_author).Not included: #2978 (contributor PR, changes requested) and #2994 (Norwegian and Swedish, waiting on native review). If either merges before the tag, its fragment needs adding here.
