- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/viphacker-100/ADVWebRecon
cd ADVWebRecon- Install required dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt🐍 You're hitting Kali Linux's restrictions on installing Python packages system-wide. This is a safeguard to prevent breaking your system's package management. Here's how you can bypass it safely:
-
Create a virtual environment:
python3 -m venv venv
-
Activate it:
source venv/bin/activate -
Install requirements inside the venv:
pip install -r requirements.txt
This isolates your packages and avoids conflicts with system-wide packages.
-
Use
pipx(recommended for CLI-based tools):sudo apt install pipx pipx install package-name
-
Or, if you're really sure and willing to take risks:
pip install --break-system-packages -r requirements.txt
⚠️ Not recommended unless you know what you're doing. Can break your Python setup.
python web_recon.py -u https://example.com-u, --url: Target URL (required)-o, --output: Output file (JSON format)-t, --threads: Number of threads (default: 5)--timeout: Request timeout in seconds (default: 10)-v, --verbose: Enable verbose output-i, --interactive: Run in interactive mode
- Basic scan with output file:
python web_recon.py -u https://example.com -o results.json- Interactive mode:
python web_recon.py -u https://example.com -i- Verbose output with custom threads:

The tool generates two types of reports:
- JSON Report: Contains all raw data in JSON format
- HTML Report: A beautifully formatted HTML report with:
- Target summary
- DNS information
- Open ports
- HTTP headers
- Technologies detected
- Subdomains discovered
- Potential vulnerabilities
- WAF detection results
- API endpoints
- CORS misconfigurations
- JavaScript analysis results
