CPL are scoping and costing the replacement of IdWorks and Pharos. They will need our support in investigating how this can integrate with our IdP in the post-Sierra world (actual tasks tbd)

This is a dependency for the Sierra switchoff, and there is no timeline for the Quickbase switchoff, but we may wish to understand all of this while Axiell are still onboard for delivery.

Due by October 28, 2026•0/3 issues closedPart of Better identifiers for digitised assets Works that have been digitised prior to the Sierra-Folio migration, that need to be reingested (e.g. to fix errors) must retain the Sierra bnumber in the internal identifiers for the digitised images. Currently, a skeleton MARC document is produced by Sierra which is then sent to Goobi. This contains (among other things) the bNumber of the Work. This will be made possible by a service that creates that same kind of skeleton MARC, using Folio-sourced data, but with the legacy/predecessor bNumber as the main identifier. This milestone needs to be delivered before a pre-existing work whose metadata is managed in Folio can be ingested by digitisation (regardless of whether it has already been digitised and ingested) Although not strictly a prerequisite for [Post-migration digitisation](https://github.com/wellcomecollection/platform/milestone/92), it is expected that that milestone will build on work delivered by this one.
