Summary

• add compact TIF label dtypes, on-demand nnU-Net materialization, content-addressed reuse, and disk preflight
• add audited TIF storage inventory and recoverable cleanup lifecycle with embedded Agent handoff
• normalize macOS /var and /private/var aliases before writing nnU-Net run-relative paths
• publish the v2.5.0 researcher guidance, backend contract updates, and release-only CI audit

Validation

• v250_release_audit: 90 passed locally
• v2410_release_audit: 366 passed, 12 platform skips on Windows
• default local validation inventory: 2,017 calls / 1,990 unique test IDs
• compileall, workflow YAML, release metadata, diff check, and public sensitive-file scans passed

This release improves storage efficiency and lifecycle safety. It does not claim improved biological accuracy and includes no user TIF data, databases, model weights, logs, or runtime configuration.
